ACTION ALERT: Reject the SAVE America Act & MEGA Act!

The U.S. House has passed the SAVE America Act and is now sending it to the Senate. At the same time, the House is also considering the Make Elections Great Again (MEGA) Act, a related bill that would impose additional barriers to voting and election administration

Both bills would restrict access to the ballot, expand federal control over how elections are run, and disproportionately impact Black voters, students, seniors, rural residents, and low-income communities. Our democracy works best when eligible voters can participate freely — not when new obstacles stand in their way.

SAVE America Act

• Create new documentary proof-of-citizenship barriers for registration
• Undermine online and mail registration
• Impose restrictive federal ID requirements
• Place unfunded burdens on election official

MEGA Act

• Includes SAVE America Act provisions and goes even further
• Limits mail-in and absentee voting
• Mandates aggressive voter roll purges
• Restricts how and when ballots are counted
