The Honorable Eva Clayton Fellowship

The Honorable Eva M. Clayton Fellowship, housed within the North Carolina Black Alliance, expands leadership opportunities for college students across North Carolina. Named for former Congresswoman Eva M. Clayton — a distinguished leader with local, national and international impact — the fellowship honors her legacy through mentorship, leadership development and issue-advocacy training.

Fellows gain hands-on experience in six key areas — democracy, health care, environmental justice, communications, operations and policy/data — designed to strengthen North Carolina’s civic engagement infrastructure and contribute to the state’s leadership pipeline.

The program will run from May 18 through Aug. 7 each year. At the program’s conclusion, fellows complete a capstone project and submit a learning portfolio demonstrating their leadership impact and growth.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.
