Federal Judge orders certification of election win for Justice Riggs

On May 5, 2025, Chief U.S. District Judge Richard E. Myers ruled that Griffin could not “change the rules of the game after it had been played.” The judge granted summary judgment in favor of Justice Allison Riggs and directed the North Carolina State Board of Elections to certify the election results in her favor.

With every decision reaffirming North Carolina voters’ decision to elect Justice Allison Riggs, there continues to be a glimmer of integrity remaining in our legal system. When the facts are provided, it gives undeniable proof that Griffin cannot use the courts to overrule the power of democracy. With so much work to do in our state, it’s time for order in the court and a cessation of this wasteful war against the will of the people.
