Duke Energy Rate Hike Hearings

Duke Energy is proposing a rate increase even as it reports strong financial results, including $5 billion in profit in 2025. The company says the increase is needed to improve infrastructure, but higher electric bills would add pressure on families, seniors on fixed incomes, and small businesses already dealing with rising costs.

State regulators need to hear directly from North Carolina residents.
