Position: GOTV Campaign Coordinator (3-month Contract)
The Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Campaign Coordinator reports to the Regional Coordinator and will work in conjunction with volunteers at their designated HUB. Our HUBs serve as the central locations for GOTV events, activities, and voter outreach mobilization. There will be up to (8) distributed across the state. This position is created with the goal of successfully organizing the Get Out The Vote Campaign, which includes but is not limited to phone banking, canvassing, voter education events, souls to the polls events, & voter mobilization, all in an effort to increase Black voter turnout.
County Locations: Martin, Ahoskie, Triad, Wake, Durham, Mecklenburg, Cumberland
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary manager and on-site contact for your designated HUB
- Responsible for voter Data Entry and reporting into our VAN system
- Work closely with the Regional Coordinators to develop strategies and create events to encourage community participation in the campaign
- Collaborate with the Regional Coordinators to share social media outreach strategies & events.
- Complete GOTV engagement initiatives virtually and in person
- Provide volunteers with accurate and up-to-date information in response to election/voting-related questions.
- Participate in voter outreach strategies such as texting, canvassing, and phone banking to assist our team with achieving voter goals per week during downtime
- Keep HUB stocked with supplies and community resources
- Provide voter information to community “walk-ins”
- Collaborate with other GOTV Campaign Coordinators to share best practices
- Attend and participate in GOTV team meetings to provide updates
Qualifications + Requirements
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Project management experience
- Passionate about engaging volunteers in the democratic process
- Critical eye for inclusion and accessibility
- Graphic design experience is an asset but not required.
- Must be a North Carolina resident
- 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance
- Pass a background check
- Available for the duration of the contract (9/1/2023 to 11/30/2023)
Contract Term
- September 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023
Compensation:
- $2,500 per month (First-time contractors only)
GOTV HUB Hours:
Three Month Contract
- Tuesday to Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- 30 Hours per Week
- Sundays will be focused on community events
